Back to the Dream
An original work written by the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute's Priscilla Hancock Cooper and inspired by our nation's Declaration of Independence, Back to the Dream is the story of a boy who uncovers deep family secrets while exploring the significance of the founding document through the guidance of his grandmother. Featuring a musical score rich in history and full of spirit, including popular hits along with a special piece by renowned composer David Friedman, Back to the Dream celebrates the promise of hope established by this country's founding declaration to its people.
