Our one-of-a-kind special events celebrate our theatre, our talented artists of all ages and our generous donors, with opportunities at various levels for both individual and corporate participation.
The special events below are listed in the order that they occur in our season, which runs from September to August.

James Hatcher Founder’s Fund Golf Tournament
The Second Annual James Hatcher Founder’s Fund Golf Tournament was held on October 17, 2007 at Highland Park Golf Course. It was a resounding success, raising almost $12,000 for the Fund. Special thanks to event sponsors Dyson Conveyer Maintenance, Servis1st Bank, Southland International Trucking and Marmon Highway Technologies.
Ocean Fundraiser
Each January, Red Mountain Theatre Company takes over Ocean Restaurant for a very special dinner to raise money for the RMTC Performing Ensemble’s spring trip.
Our Youth Program’s Performing Ensemble members (ages 13-18) serve as hosts, wait staff and entertainment for the evening. Special requests can be made from the song list available at your table, and the Performing Ensemble will serenade you during your fabulous dinner prepared by Chef George Reis.
Flying Fish, Frolic and Fun, held on January 21, helped the RMTC Performing Ensemble raise money for their trip to Seattle, Washington, for an invaluable learning and performing experience.
Parent Showcase
This informal annual event, generally held in March, benefits the Youth Program’s trip to New York City, which takes place each June.
Join us for an evening of RMTC family fun as we as we present the PARENTS of the Youth Programs performing on stage! The act that raises the most money at the end of the night wins a chance to have an encore performance!
Annual Gala
The annual Gala, presented by Red Mountain Theatre Company and the Dress Circle Society, is our major fundraiser, providing significant funds for RMTC’s year-round artistic and educational programming and a fabulous night out for our supporters.
Our 11th annual "Razzle Dazzle" Gala was held on April 19, 2008, at Vestavia Country Club. The 1920's themed evening featured dinner, a live and silent auction and incredible entertainment. The 2008 Gala Chairs were Carolyn Lankford, Cathy Luckie and Miriam Morris.
