Workshops

You asked for them – so we’re offering! Red Mountain Theatre Company is providing two exciting classes this fall!  Each class is six weeks long.

Characterization
Young performers will explore ways to physically and vocally create a character out of their own imagination.  Whether it’s on a ship on the open sea, in a fairytale castle, or out in the dusty Wild West, performers will invent their own story using the characters they create.
Ages: 7-12
Dates: Saturdays, October 4-November 8
Time: 9:30am – 11:30am
Place: Brasfield and Gorrie Conference Center
Price: $150

Fundamentals of Acting:  An Exploration of Technique
Start your path towards becoming a professional actor with this stimulating class.  Participants will study technique and characterization methods with emphasis on scene work, text and character development.  Effective learning will need personal prep outside of class.
Ages: 13-18
Dates: Mondays, September 29-November 3
Time: 6:00pm-8:00pm
Place: Brasfield and Gorrie Conference Center
Price: $150

Young people interested in taking these classes must be of age by September 1, 2014.  To register, visit https://campscui.active.com/orgs/RedMountainTheatreCompany.  If you have questions, email Bradford Forehand, Education Manager, at education@redmountaintheatre.org or call 205-324-2424.
