Executive Assistant

The Executive Assistant will help manage the complex schedules and diverse tasks required of the Executive’s position. The Executive Assistant also serves as a liaison to the board of directors, oversees special projects, and enables the Executive to work at peak efficiency, through the use of office management software and inter-personal skills and administrative support.

Qualifications:

  • Five years of comparable work experience work.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organizational skills with an ability to think proactively and prioritize work.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Outlook.
  • Ability to execute projects efficiently and according to schedule.

Scenic Carpenter (Full-Time/Salary)

The Scenic Carpenter will assist the Technical Director in the preparation and execution of the scenic design to support the artistic vision of RMT productions.

  • 3 years’ experience operating and installation theatrical scenery

Costume Director

As a Tony Award winning Broadway Producer and more than 40-year-old regional theatre, RMT is seeking an energetic, versatile individual for the position of Costume Supervisor to support our mission of creating powerful theatre experiences that enrich, educate, and engage audiences – nourishing the human spirit, fostering valuable life skills, and cultivating a deeper sense of community.

The Costume Director manages and executes all aspects of the costume department, to deliver the artistic vision of RMT productions on time and on budget. The Costume Director will maintain all costume stock, materials and equipment used for the construction of costumes and oversee all aspects of construction, rental, crafts, and maintenance of costumes. The Costume Director will collaborate with the show directors, RMT Staff, and creative team members to design and realize all costumes required for RMT productions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5 years of Costume Shop experience in professional theatrical organizations
  • Experience forming and managing relationships with visiting artists, staff, and over-hire
  • Advanced knowledge of Draping / Cutting and Fitting process
  • Excellent time management, organization, and administrative skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Outlook
  • Clean driving record and valid driver’s license

Facilities Assistant (part-time)

Come grow with us! Red Mountain Theatre has moved into a new, leading edge Arts Campus and looking to grow our team! Are you:

  • Experienced with operation, repair and maintenance?
  • Detail-oriented person who can juggle multiple priorities and personalities in a fast-paced environment?

As a Tony Award winning Broadway Producer and more than 40-year-old regional theatre, RMT is seeking an energetic, versatile individual for the position of Facilities Assistant. The assistant is expected to perform preventative maintenance, oversee meeting and facility rental needs, and address emergency facility needs. This is a part-time position of approximately 20 hours a week.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a construction trade, building/facility maintenance.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and landscape maintenance.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work from drawings, diagrams, sketches and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to operate a variety of tools.
  • Ability to work alone or as a team member.
  • Ability to work varying shifts including weekends, nights, and holiday needs. Some on-call duty may be required.

Teaching Artist

RMT is looking to expand its current roster of Teaching Artists. Teaching Artist responsibilities range from class to class, and can be catered to your skillset. We are looking for those who can spearhead creating lesson plans for dance, acting, musical theatre, improv, tech, design, and everything in between! For less-experienced instructors, we also offer opportunities to hone your skills and learn to translate performance experience to the classroom!

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create lesson plans based on a curriculum provided by the Education Team
  • Engage students through the process of acquiring and applying new skills
  • Inspire the next generation of theatre artists!

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Theatre, Drama, Education, or equivalent work experience
  • 1-3 years’ experience in performance or teaching
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Great ability to connect with kids

Education Desk Host

The Education Desk Host is responsible for greeting and directing guests using the Education Center as well as maintaining a safe working environment for Teaching Artists, Students, and adult participants.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepping rooms for classes or rentals
  • Greeting visitors
  • Maintaining a clean working environment including halls, bathrooms, and classrooms
